The KFA Connect team were very excited last week when the Help for Heroes Bear arrived at our Ringwood office!!

A very exciting day!

Wear it Pink Oct 2016 - Get your pink on!

Get your pink on!

Every year ‘wear it pink’ raises around £2 million during breast cancer awareness month for the UK’s largest cancer charity.

October is breast cancer awareness month, a worldwide campaign to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. The aim, by funding cutting-edge research is to ensure no one dies from breast cancer by 2050.

They have raised £28.9 million to date, so this year KFA will be ‘getting our pink on’! On the day we are planning a fun sweepstake, cake, goodies and there will be balloons, bunting, all things pink.

Anyone can get involved on Friday 21st October 2016 – at home, in school or at work – just grab, bake, eat or buy something pink – and of course wear it pink to help raise vital funds for cancer research.

On the Day…

We had great fun on the day, raising over £60.00 just from holding a sweepstake and cake sale. Check out Charlie the dog’s pink jacket!!

We are proud to be supporting the ‘Child of Courage’ awards for Pop 4 Diabetes, who are celebrating their 10 year anniversary in 2016.

This October KFA were proud to sponsor the Pop 4 Diabetes ‘Child of Courage’ Awards.

Pop 4 Diabetes celebrated their 10th year anniversary in style, holding the event at the Bournemouth Hilton Hotel on Saturday, 15th October 2016 and KFA Connect were proud to be a part of it…quite literally.

The awards took place during an amazing Grease themed evening with our very own Lauren Elphick from the KFA Connect test team performing as ‘Rizzo’.

Eastenders stars Harry Reid and Jamie Borthwick presented the awards and were on hand to give Lauren some well-earned attention following her performance!

Pop 4 Diabetes is fundraising research into a cure for Type 1 Diabetes and this continued research and the support they have received means a cure has now become a real possibility.

Tough Mudder Half 2016

We came, we conquered…..and we were utterly ‘Mudnificent’!

The KFA team conquered Tough Mudder Half, London South on Saturday 17th September 2016 and gave it their all!!!

Raising money for Help for Heroes we manage to rope in friends, family (and even our kids to take part in the Mini Mudder), and many of us tackled our worst fears; heights, water, mud…and more mud!

Between us, we have raised over £3,500.00 for this worthy cause and are giving serious consideration to doing it again next year!

Our thanks to the friends and family who joined us on our mission and helped make the day a success and such great fun.

KFA Connect Support Ringwood Carnival

As the new arrivals in Ringwood, we liked the idea of getting involved in the local business community so supporting the Ringwood Carnival seemed a good place to start.

Ringwood saw its very first Carnival in 1929! Carnivals followed in 1931 and 1934, when the Coldstream Guards marched through the town in full dress uniform.

The first Carnival after the war was in 1950 and has continued every year since. The Carnival now acts as a focus for the local community and charitable groups.

The Ringwood Carnival Society is a registered charity, established to co-ordinate, manage and develop a guaranteed festival of fun for the whole family. Through this, the society aim to raise much-needed funds, making donations to local charities and good causes.

Join in the fun and support Ringwood – from 12.00 pm on Saturday 17th September 2016.

KFA Connect support the Africa Trust with Aquaid by sponsoring a new water pump in Africa.

We are thrilled that a ‘KFA Connect’ water pump has now been built in as a result of our support of AquAid!

We are aware that keeping our staff members hydrated will aid them to perform at their very best throughout the work day. As a result, we decided to invest in watercoolers from AquAid – and have done for a number of years now.

Our unique relationship with AquAid has also given our company the opportunity to help those less fortunate than ourselves, because with each purchase an automatic donation is made to the Africa Trust.

These funds are used to build ‘Elephant Pumps’ – a modified version of an age old Chinese rope pulley system. One such pump has now been installed in Zimbabwe, Africa on our behalf and it will be a much needed source of clean and fresh drinking water for many decades.

To date AquAid have built over 5,000 such Elephant Pumps across parts of Zimbabwe, Malawi and Liberia; and have donated £12 million to charity and helped bring a life-time supply of clean, fresh drinking water to more than 2 million people.
