KFA Connect’s researched report continues to consider how IT can deliver real value.
So, what do companies need to address for IT to deliver real value?
As part of our commissioned report, we have had the opportunity to interview a number of business directors – to find out more about the issues they are currently facing.
Our recent interview with The Platform Lift Company Managing Director, Sean O’Sullivan has helped us to explore what he feels needs to be addressed in order to align IT with business strategies and operations.
The Platform Lift Company is one of the UK’s leading suppliers and installers of platform lifts offering a comprehensive range of lift products to suit all environments and applications. They have expertise in all business sectors, including Heritage, Education, Sports and Leisure, Restaurants and Residential.
Sean reflects on how technology has enabled big advances in electronic lift control, which in turn have reduced costs…
“Even two or three years ago we would have to go out to every call, but now lift technology means we can dial in from anywhere in the world to fix most problems”.
He goes on to say…
“We can even send a video to a client to show them how to address a particular issue themselves”.
He feels that fundamentally companies have no choice than to continually invest in IT if they want to progress as a business…
“We could have continued to run design in 2D and having two servers which would have saved us money, but that isn’t an option if you are serious about taking the business forward. We have no choice”.
