Coming Soon! Order & Out to Integrate with DPD

KFA Connect have  started the development to integrate Order & Out with delivery giant DPD

Formerly Interlink Express, DPD Local are well known to us – with one of their local depots close to our Ringwood office. Together with sister company DPD, they have a combined turnover of over £1 billion and are considered the fastest growing parcel delivery company in the UK.

Unlike the recent integration development work we carried out to integrate Order & Out with NetDespatch, this time we are doing it just for fun!

Having seen how much easier  Order & Out subscribers Conker Spirit were now find printing labels and generally dealing with the day to day despatching of their parcels, we wanted to share that same simplicity to other third-party logistics providers’ customers, and DPD seemed the first obvious choice.

Using API’s provided by DPD, we are now in the process of getting our Order & Out solution to talk to their system (and vice versa), which will allow many more companies despatching goods in a B2B environment to benefit from this seamless integration.

The end result is that  Order & Out subscribers using DPD as their logistics partner will be able to:

  • Print labels from within the Order & Out screen.
  • Facility for Order & Out to calculate the number of packages based on the weight of the products on the order.
  • Calculate the delivery charge to the customer – if applicable, based on products on the order.
  • Retrieve labels and despatch details, such as the consignment number (used for tracking), shipment and parcel numbers.

Add that to the Order & Out feature which will also deal with all your customer communications –  triggering an email to your customer to confirm when items have been despatched.

We expect to launch this early September 2017.
