Jamie’s Computers, the recycling arm of ‘The Society of St James’, Hampshire’s largest homelessness charity collected more redundant tech equipment from the KFA team today.
Jamie’s Computers are the recycling arm of the Southampton based Society of St James who provide housing, care and support to over 2500 homeless and vulnerable people each year including those with mental health issues, learning disabilities and long-term unemployed.
“We replace our equipment regularly, which leaves us with the inconvenience of either disposing of, or trying to to sell the equipment – but also having to make sure that it was disposed of without the risk of any security/data breaches.” The reality was that the old equipment was just here, gathering dust – when it could be put to good use…
That is until we found Jamie’s Computers!

100% of the profits from the refurbishment of the donations of computers and tech equipment from local businesses go to the charity – and gives companies the confidence that sensitive data will be permanently wiped from the IT assets using ‘Blancco’ disk wipe software solution and a tamper-proof report provided.
“This is our second donation of equipment to the charity – and it’s really great to know that it will directly benefit those in need (and solves a problem for us in the process).
