Nutland Carpet Accessories

In a relationship that has lasted for over 15 years, Kingfisher Associates have fulfilled another software application requirement by supplying and commissioning an updated suite of software packages to Nutland Carpet Accessories for their new IBM i-Series e-server.

Nutland Carpets took the decision to replace their stable, but ageing System/36 software after visiting another Kingfisher client and seeing for themselves the benefits of a modern software system.

The new system is based on Kingfisher's 'IMPACT' packages providing Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledgers, Cash Book, Stock Control and Purchase Order Processing facilities. These are fully integrated with a bespoke Sales Order Processing module which we designed to look like the original S/36 based system to assist employees' transition to the new applications.

Under the covers, the new system validates data integrity throughout the various stages of a business transaction and has streamlined many processes including automatic pricing. This has virtually eliminated the amount of re-inputting of data that was necessary with the old system. It also provides more sophisticated management information, allowing Nutland to make faster and more informed business decisions.

Like many small to medium sized enterprises, Nutland's business direction will no doubt continue to move towards the exciting world of e-commerce and all the business benefits that can bring and we look forward to further developing our long standing relationship with Nutland in the process.
